2026 Europeans: Day 1

-48kg: Boukli (FRA)

Shirine Boukli won the final against Sabina Giliazova (RUS) through penalties in Golden Score.

-60kg: Mkheidze (FRA)
In the final, Luka Mkheidze defeated the defending champion, Giorgi Sardalashvili (GEO), with a kosoto-gake into armlock combination that had the Georgian tapping very quickly.

-52kg: Krasniqi (KOS)
Distria Krasniqi defeated her rival Amandine Buchard (FRA) in the final with a kosoto-gari for yuko. It was all she needed to win the match.

-66kg: Chopanov (RUS)
They say once bitten, twice shy. And this was certainly the case for Murad Chopanov in his final against Luukas Saha (FIN). Saha had thrown Chopanov with a tawara-gaeshi-type pick-up which was initially scored a yuko but was then removed. When Saha tried that a second time, in Golden Score, Chopanov was ready for it and countered him for a yuko score to win the match.
