Alice Bellandi, who has powerful drop throws to the front, took Emma Reid (GBR) to the back with kouchi-makikomi to score a waza-ari to win the final. Bellandi, who is an Olympic and World Champion, is now a European Champion as well.

Gennaro Pirelli, who had shown some impressive throwing power earlier in the day, had to rely on penalties for his gold medal win in the final against Simeon Catharina (NED).

Raz Hershko, who has been on a winning streak lately, defeated Lea Fontaine (FRA) with a drop sode-tsurikomi-goshi within the first minute of their final match. Hershko had also beaten Fontaine in the final of the Paris Grand Slam recently.
+100kg: Tushishvili (GEO)
Guram Tushishvili gave the home crowd what they were there to see, throwing Lukas Krpalek (CZE) with a hip throw that could have been ippon. As it turned out, only waza-ari was given but it was enough for Tushishvili to win the match.
