Yang wins bronze in Ljubljana



Jonathan Yang won a -60kg bronze at the 2026 Ljubljana European Open. He had a bye in the first round. In his second-round match, he threw Bart Weling (NED) with drop sode for yuko. After that, he threw David Naji (HUN) twice, first with drop sode for yuko, then a drop sleeve seoi for ippon. He lost his semifinal match against Samariddin Kuchkarov (UZB), who threw him with his own favorite technique, drop sode, for yuko in Golden Score. He bounced back in the bronze medal match and threw Olivier Naert with drop sode for yuko in Golden Score.
