New IJF rule on time wasting

New IJF rule on time wasting

If the match goes to the ground and the referee has said, "matte", you need to get up quickly and come back to the middle of the mat ready to carry on with the match.

Spending too much time to get up or tying up hair (for female players) or arranging the judogi or the belt, will result in a first warning. The second time it happens, it's a shido.
