Against Khojiakbar Toshev (UZB), Abdulloi scored first with a counter for yuko. Then Toshev struck back with osoto-gari for yuko. In Golden Score, Abdulloi threw Toshev with a massive ogoshi that score waza-ari though it could have easily been an ippon. He threw his next opponent, Arun Kumar (IND) three times: Osoto-gari for yuko, ouchi-gaeshi for waza-ari and followed up immediately with a pin for waza-ari-awasete-ippon. In his semifinal, he did really well, throwing Giovanni Esposito (ITA) first with seoi-nage for yuko, then ouchi-gari for ippon. The gold-medal match was a nail-biter. There was no score in regular time but Abdulloi was down two shidos to one against Shakhram Ahadov (UZB), who piled on the pressure to try to get him to incur his third penalty. But around two minutes into Golden Score, Abdulloi managed to throw Ahadov off the ground with uchimata for yuko, to win the match.

She also used a hold-down – this time tate-shiho-gatame – to score ippon against Clemence Eme (FRA) in the semifinal. In the final, against Melkia Auchecorne, Butkereit once again relied on the Shiba Lock.
-81kg Gold: Omar Rajabli (AZE)

He survived a subsequent osaekomi attempt by Rajabli but lost the match. Sotaro Fujiwara (JPN) tried to do a typical Japanese turnover on Rajabli but got countered and pinned with kami-shiho-gatame instead. He countered Arslonbek Tojiev for yuko, then before time was over, used Shiba Lock to pin him for ippon. Rajabli won the final, against Abdul-Kerim Tasuev (RUS) just like he did with most of his other matches, with a hold-down.
