The IJF World Tour will kick off, as it usually does, with the Paris Grand Slam in February. In addition to Paris, there will be a further eight Grand Slam events, in Tashkent, Tbilisi, Dushanbe, Astana, Ulaanbaatar, Budapest, Abu Dhabi, and Tokyo. There will be four Grand Prix events, in Linz, Lima, Qingdao and Zagreb.
The Ulaanbaatar Grand Slam in June which will mark the first qualifying event for the 2028 LA Olympics. From this point onwards, every competition in the World Tour will be opportunities for athletes to qualify for the Olympics. The Baku World Championships in October will offer huge ranking points for the winners.
Beyond the World Tour events and World Championships, there are also Continental Opens, organized by various continental unions. These tournaments are also opportunities for athletes to gain ranking points for Olympic qualification.
