2022 was an amazing year on the World Judo Tour filled with spectacular moments. Each year the International Judo Federation hosts the Judo Awards to commemorate the excitement of the last year. Before the 2023 season arrives, take a moment to reflect on the special moments 2022 gave us by voting at awards.ijf.org.

Here is a sneak preview of the awards for the 2022 World Judo Tour and some of the Judoka in the running:

  • Male Judoka of the Year - Tato Grigalashvili, Tsogtbaatar Tsend-Ochir, Davlat Bobonov, and more
  • Female Judoka of the Year - Romane Dicko, Abe Uta, Barbara Matic, and more
  • Rising Star - Guilherme Schimidt, Yelyzaveta Lytvynenko, Lee Joonhwan, and more
  • Coaching Achievement of the Year - Ilias Iliadis; Andrea Berti and Sarah Menezes, and more
  • WJT Ippon of the Year - Hashimoto Soichi, Denis Vieru, Christa Deguchi
  • Moment of the Year - Romane Dicko and Coralie Hayme, Saeid Mollaei, and more
  • Judo for Peace 
  • Judo for Children

Voting closes on January 31st. Winners will be announced at the Paris Grand Slam in February.
